The Beginning: Social Media Was My First Door
When I started my role in marketing, my main focus was on social media, planning posts, building engagement and making sure the brand felt alive. SEO wasn’t even a buzzword for us at the time. The blog existed, but it wasn’t a priority. Paid Ads were paused for internal reasons and, without that boost, our visibility started to fade. Competitors, many with strong SEO strategies, were clearly ahead of us. That’s when I knew something had to change.
Working with Canbe Hospitality gave me the opportunity to understand marketing in a real-world hospitality environment. It was not just about posting room photos or travel tips, but about communicating experiences that guests could connect with. Every piece of content had to represent the warmth and authenticity that define Canbe’s approach to hospitality. That’s where I started linking every online effort to the real purpose behind our brand — making guests feel welcome even before they booked.
Discovering the Power of SEO
Out of curiosity (and urgency), I began writing blog content not only about our accommodation or hospitality offers, but also about Ireland, Dublin and travel tips. Things people actually searched for.
I started using tools like Ubersuggest, SEMRush and Answer The Public. They opened my eyes to a whole new world: search intent, long-tail keywords and how people were discovering businesses organically every day.
As I delved deeper into SEO, I realised that success required more than tools and keywords. I collaborated closely with the reservations and reception teams to identify guest questions and patterns. Those everyday queries inspired valuable blog topics: from the best areas to stay in Dublin to top free attractions nearby. Optimising these posts not only helped with rankings but also built stronger alignment between marketing and guest experience.
The process wasn’t easy at first. We had to test formats, adjust tone and find a balance between informative and promotional writing. Sometimes a blog underperformed, and other times a quick guide unexpectedly went viral. But this experimentation taught me that organic growth depends on consistency and adaptability — two things that Canbe’s culture naturally encourages.
The Results: SEO Transformed Our Blog Into a Sales Machine
After one year of consistent publishing, things changed. I wasn’t just “doing content” anymore, I was driving traffic and sales.

SEO didn’t just improve numbers on a dashboard. It changed how we viewed digital communication within Canbe Hospitality. What started as a marketing strategy evolved into a bigger mission: connecting travellers to authentic Irish hospitality experiences through valuable, engaging content.
